Meet the team – Feri

“I’m motivated by creating products that I would personally love to use in my studio.”

Short Introduction:

I have been working at the company for three years, overseeing production projects. My role spans from participating in idea generation to testing products, managing the development process, creating presets, and fine-tuning parameters.

Questions and Answers:

  1. What was your first instrument:
My first instrument was the drums, which I started learning as a kid. At 14, I shifted to electronic music after being blown away by the sounds of modern electronic music and started producing with a free tracker called Fasttracker 2.
  2. What motivates you when working on a new product?
I’m motivated by creating products that I would personally love to use in my studio. The appeal lies in crafting unique sounds and simple workflows that enhance the creative process.
  3. What challenges do you encounter in your work, and how do you solve them?
One common challenge is balancing creativity with practicality. I address this by focusing on the core functionalities that make the most impact while ensuring the product remains intuitive and user-friendly.
  4. How do you see the future of music software and VSTs?
In the distant future, I can imagine brain chips enabling people to translate their thoughts directly into music. In the near future, I see AI-assisted software becoming more integrated into music production.
  5. What music genres do you listen to most often, and how does this influence your work?
My taste is quite broad, with a preference for less commercial, club-friendly subgenres of electronic music like Indie Dance, Melodic House, Bass House, and Techno below 135 bpm. I also enjoy chill-out music, rock, and have a guilty pleasure for 90s gangsta hip hop.

What are your favorite products from us and why?
My two favorites are Analog Nightmares and Minipol. I love Analog Nightmares for its retro synth sounds that stil feel modern, whenever I need a unique pad or atmo, I layer it over a more standard string or pad and there it is. And I love Minipol for its distinct, a bit nostalgic virtual analogue sound, which is perfect for my synthwave/indie dance productions.
