Gabor isn’t just the designer assistant of our company’s founder and mastermind, Dani Karanyi. He’s the alchemist who helps transform Dani’s complex audio concepts and intuitive, visually stunning interfaces into working prototypes and make additional skins. Q: What motivates you when working on a new product?
A: I’m motivated by the opportunity to enhance the user experience with a well-designed, aesthetic interface supporting musicians’ creative process. I enjoy creating designs that are both visually appealing and functional.
Q: What challenges do you encounter in your work, and how do you solve them?
A: The biggest challenge is balancing creative ideas with practical usability.
Q: What music genres do you listen to most often, and how does this influence your work?
A: I listen to various genres, from electronic to hardcore punk. However, when designing, I mostly listen to dub and old-school reggae because they help me stay focused and boost my creative flow.
Q: How do you see the future of music software and VSTs?
A: I think AI will be a big game-changer for the industry. AI-powered tools will completely transform workflows, changing how we create music and interact with software.
Q: What are your favorite products from us and why?
A: My favorite products are Polyscape 2 and Lofi Keys. Polyscape 2 is perfect for experimental and ambient music, while Lofi Keys is my go-to for warm, nostalgic sounds.
